About Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Regional Health Network
The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education. Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma Center at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, an internationally recognized training and research center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The Froedtert & MCW health network, which includes 10 hospital locations, more than 2,300 physicians and more than 45 health centers and clinics, draws patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation. In our most recent fiscal year, outpatient visits were more than 1.6 million, inpatient admissions to our hospitals exceeded 57,500 and visits to our network physicians totaled more than 1.28 million.
In addition to Froedtert Hospital, the network includes Froedtert Bluemound Rehabilitation Hospital, Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital, Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital, Froedtert West Bend Hospital and Froedtert Community Hospital with locations in Mequon, New Berlin, Oak Creek and Pewaukee. The health network represents the collaboration of Wisconsin?s largest multispecialty physician practice with two community-based physician groups. In 2017, an existing affiliation with the former United Hospital System was expanded to include what is now known as Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital and related clinics in the network. In 2024, Froedtert Health and ThedaCare became one organization, making it possible for the health network to enhance access to care for more people in Wisconsin.

Froedtert Hospital , the academic medical center of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, has 766 beds and is a leading referral resource for advanced medical care. Froedtert Hospital also operates the region?s only adult Level I Trauma Center. The primary adult teaching affiliate of MCW, Froedtert Hospital is a major training facility for medical, nursing and health technical students. It is also a respected research center, participating in some 2,000 research studies ? including clinical trials ? every year. Froedtert Hospital is located on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus.
Froedtert Hospital was recognized as a 2023 Birnbaum Quality Leadership Top Performer by Vizient, Inc. Achieving a rank of 4 out of 116 Comprehensive Academic Medical Center Vizient members, we were recognized for demonstrating excellence in delivering high-quality care.
Froedtert Hospital is named for our benefactor, Kurtis R. Froedtert, whose vision, support and energy led to the opening of a new era in health care in 1980.

Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital , founded in 1964 by the citizens of Menomonee Falls and surrounding communities and originally named Community Memorial Hospital, is a full-service hospital that specializes in cancer care, heart and vascular care, orthopaedics, women?s health and advanced surgical procedures. Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital is part of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, which includes Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center; hospital locations in Wauwatosa, Manitowoc, Mequon, New Berlin, Oak Creek, Pewaukee, Pleasant Prairie and West Bend; and more than 45 primary and specialty care health centers and clinics.

Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Community Physicians is a primary care and multispecialty group with more than 250 physicians and more than 230 clinical staff, delivering care in more than 35 health centers and clinics in southeastern Wisconsin. In fiscal 2023, combined patient visits to these locations totaled more than 1.1 million.

The Medical College of Wisconsin
With a history dating back to 1893, The Medical College of Wisconsin is dedicated to leadership and excellence in education, patient care, research and community engagement. More than 1,500 students are enrolled in MCW?s medical, graduate and pharmacy school programs in Milwaukee, Green Bay, and Central Wisconsin. A major national research center, MCW is the largest research institution in the Milwaukee metro area and second largest in Wisconsin. In the last ten years, faculty received more than $1.6 billion in external support for research, teaching, training and related purposes. This total includes highly competitive research and training awards from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Annually, MCW faculty direct or collaborate on more than 3,200 research studies, including clinical trials. Additionally, more than 1,700 physicians provide care in virtually every specialty of medicine for more than 3.3 million patients annually.
No Weapons Policy
Froedtert Health does not allow weapons or firearms on its premises, unless in the possession of an authorized security or law enforcement officer. As of the November 1, 2011, effective date of the Wisconsin Concealed Carry Law, properly licensed individuals may keep a registered weapon in their locked, personal motor vehicle.
